The Totana City Council has today sent to the Ministry of the Presidency and the Treasury all the documentation requested on aid projects to face the economic and social reactivation for a value of 10.5 million euros in the framework of the Reactive 2020 Plan. This project, included in the regional government's strategy to face the economic crisis derived from the coronavirus pandemic, aims to articulate social spending, the revival of the local economy, and the needs in terms of infrastructure and other investments in public services in this municipality, with a total amount of 10,502,617 euros. The Autonomous Community, Ministry of the Presidency and Finance, last Thursday asked the City Council for an estimate of the resources needed to respond over the next few months to increasing social spending and to reactivate the local economy in this municipality after the de-escalation.This plan pays special attention in the health field, but also in the protection of the most vulnerable groups in society and in the care of SMEs and the self-employed.For this reason, the regional Executive plans to redistribute the already approved items of the 2020 budgets to allocate them to the most urgent needs, which are, in this order, health, employment, economy and business.Given the urgency, the municipal government team ordered the pertinent reports to the municipal technicians, in order to prepare the needs programs to be taken into account in the different areas of municipal management in order to provide coverage, as far as possible, to the needs of the population. The City Council has sent what measures are contemplated, to which groups would each one go, the number of beneficiaries, and the approximate cost it would have. The report sent by the City Council breaks down, by municipal areas, the projects that would be able to count on the collaboration of the Public Administrations and the state reconstruction fund against the COVID-19 announced by the Government of Spain.
