The COVID-19 Coordination Table in the municipality of Totana, which includes the Mayor's Office, Civil Guard, Local Police and Civil Protection, has decided to immediately move the usual area of ??concentration of agricultural laborers from La Turra to the intermodal station for reasons health security.This decision to move the waiting area for farm workers who are concentrated to arrange the transportation of businessmen and foremen in order to travel to their workplaces affects both buses and vans, understanding that it meets better conditions.The measure is also adopted in the face of neighborhood complaints from residents in the outskirts and adjacent areas of the Glorieta Príncipe de Asturias (popularly known as La Turra roundabout).According to sources from the Local Police Headquarters, during the different work shifts (late for arrivals; and night and tomorrow for departures), police surveillance will increase in these areas.In addition, the drivers of buses and vans of agricultural or similar companies that park in said area and adjacent ones will be informed that the area destined, from now on, for passengers to get on and off is the intermodal station.Thus, the agents will not allow stops or parking lots to be made outside the intermodal station, so that infractions based on said rule will be sanctioned.
