| To cover the elderly population living alone during the epidemic | (The City Council is going to collaborate with the entity "Intergenerational Solidarity" in its new project "Good morning !, How are you?" In order to cover the elderly population living alone during the epidemic in this municipality, such as Support for the work that other volunteer organizations have also been doing in Totana.Intergenerational Solidarity will develop this proactive accompaniment, management and psychosocial support service for the duration of the COVID-19 epidemic, as support for older people living alone, or in situations of fragility, or also with people who need continuous care. With the support of the different regional and state administrations, through calls for general and social interest, financed through the 0.7% that we mark in the box in the income statement, Intergenerational Solidarity has initiated direct contact with thousands of isolated people who need care, after a month of confinement, especially in the over-aged and semi-empty rural areas. The personal situations after the state of sanitary alarm and the forced confinement at home, -which in all probability will be extended especially for groups at greater risk due to their special affectation-, require extraordinary support in the face of unexpected and sudden circumstances that are evolving at high speed.
dramatically and massively around the world. This pandemic threatens and hurts physical, psychological, social and economic well-being and is being perceived as a serious danger because it may converge in a process of social and personal deterioration. This organization has already contacted more than 3,000 people affected in different communities due to their fragility and being a group of special risk due to the already known consequences: people over 65, dependent and disabled, people living alone, caregivers and people who lack personal resources and technical supports to keep in touch with the rest of the people.Furthermore, this situation is exacerbated if the person lives in rural areas due to the lack of good network coverage and little use of ICTs.
The number of beneficiaries will continue to expand and personalized monitoring will be carried out based on their detected needs and demands. The direct intervention offered by this organization is aimed at contacting by phone - video call if you prefer - and knowing how you are and what you need, and if you wish, you will be accompanied and provide the support, information, advice and management in anticipation of problems or future needs, monitoring by telephone, telematics or online to offer solutions and alternatives that help you cope with your day to day in the best possible conditions. This initiative will be carried out for the duration of this pandemic and its consequences, in coordination with the Social Services and the more than 1,000 rural municipalities with which Intergenerational Solidarity maintains a collaboration agreement, as is the case of Totana, with which they have already been carried out various training actions.Likewise, Intergenerational Solidarity will promote maintaining regular good neighborly relations and mutual support for active and healthy aging that copes with unwanted loneliness, as well as maintaining an appropriate lifestyle: food + daily physical and mental exercise + social relations + lifelong learning + health care + positive attitude towards life. This entity has a team of 60 professionals that will continue to expand: gerontologists, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists, educators, occupational therapists, sociologists, healthcare professionals, etc., who under an intervention protocol designed by Intergenerational Solidarity have been trained to provide a quality service, while the means have been enabled to telework and offer quality and warmth with guarantees. Those interested should contact through these lines of communication or request more information: si@solidaridadintergeneracional.es info@solidaridadintergeneracional.es Telephone 900 101 332 and 646 85 77 00 www.solidaridadintergeneracional.es
