The possibility of heavy rains returns tomorrow Sunday (18/04/2020)

| We continue with typical spring weather and tomorrow we will again have an unstable day in the Region of Murcia | The instability will be caused by a very deep trough of cold air that, together with an area of ??low relative pressures on the surface, will be the breeding ground for showers and storms in many areas of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands.As for the Region of Murcia, the morning will start very cloudy or overcast.

The rains will arrive about mid-morning from Almería and the Gulf of Mazarrón, spreading throughout the Region in the form of generalized showers, weak or locally moderate and that will subside in mid-afternoon, although they could hold a little longer in the extreme northeast of the Region.There is a possibility that showers will be locally strong and stormy, occasionally with hail, somewhere along the coast and pre-coast.

For this reason, the yellow warning has been activated due to the possibility of accumulations of up to 20 mm / h in the Guadalentín Valley, Lorca and Águilas and in the Campo de Cartagena and Mazarrón.

The notice is scheduled to end at 3:00 p.m.

In the early afternoon, it is not ruled out that a shower or storm is also locally strong inland.

In principle, large waterspouts are not expected to fall, although locally it can rain heavily.This situation presents high uncertainty, as there are notable differences in the forecast of different models for tomorrow's situation.

In addition, it could also be the case that heavy rains occur over the sea and do not reach the coast.

This uncertainty is increased due to the absence of a humid east wind flow over the southeast tomorrow.

For this reason, it will be necessary to closely follow the evolution.On Monday the situation will clearly improve and temperatures will rise due to the west wind, which will increase its intensity.

It seems that instability would return on Tuesday and Wednesday with showers and storms of irregular distribution, mainly in inland areas.

In the longer term, the end of this succession of unstable weather situations in Spain is not seen right now.
