The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, today signed a resolution that extends, due to the current context of the state of alarm, until June 5, including the period of voluntary collection of the Tax on Mechanical Traction Vehicles, which was in progress and ended on May 5, according to sources from the Department of Finance.The Mayor's Office has approved the modification of the period of voluntary collection of the tax register of said tax corresponding to the year 2020, extending it one more month, the total amount of which amounts to 1,731,690.69 euros.This measure has been adopted given the extraordinary situation produced as a consequence of the health crisis by COVID-19, and in view of article 53 of Royal Decree 11/2020, of March 31, which agrees to the suspension of deadlines in the tax area of ??the autonomous communities and local entities.This order has been published in an edict, in which it is also informed that, once the indicated period has elapsed, the executive period will begin, proceeding to the collection of the installments not satisfied with the surcharges established in article 28 of the General Tax Law, default interest and the costs of the procedure. function { ;(, , {});}
