The Totana City Council will shortly receive from the Government of Spain an economic injection of € 130,729 to cover the most urgent social needs in the face of the socioeconomic consequences caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
This budget item from an extraordinary credit of € 300,000,000 approved a few days ago by the Council of Ministers of the Government of Spain.
The € 130,729 is the proportion corresponding to Totana of the allocation directed to the Region of Murcia, which will be of an amount of € 9,284,806, the purpose of which is to guarantee and reinforce the Basic Benefits of Social Services throughout the national territory.
These benefits are aimed at offering direct financial support to families in greatest need, emergency aid for the purchase of food, medicine and the payment of basic bills, in addition to home support measures for the most vulnerable, isolated or disabled people. .
According to the statement from the Municipal Socialist Group sent to Totana.
com "This is an important economic injection for the measures that the City of Totana has to implement in the coming days aimed at neighbors, freelancers, businesses and companies."
Furthermore, we consider that all administrations must assume their responsibility.
The Government of Spain has done it and so must the regional government.
In this way we request that the Government of López Miras approve economic and social measures to support our families, freelancers and companies, just as the rest of the Communities are doing, for example the Valencian Community.
