Members of the 73rd Anti-Air Artillery Regiment of the Spanish Army, based in Cartagena, have been deployed today in Totana with a section of 24 soldiers and 8 vehicles that will carry out work to support vehicle control and the movement of people, together with the Police Local and Civil Guard.
The military deployed in different points of the urban area have been received by the mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and the councilor for Citizen Security, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez;
and will remain until the last hour of the day.
In recent weeks, members of the Army of the Army of the Javalí Nuevo base have also participated in the support and patrolling efforts to intensify the controls of the Civil Guard and Local Police by virtue of compliance with the state of alarm established by the Government of Spain.
The military from this section of BRIPAC also established different control points in the urban area and the suburbs (in different areas), collaborating in the surveillance and control of limitations on the movement of vehicles and people in the municipality;
and deploying at the entrances to the city, rural roads and districts, and areas of Los Huertos and Sierra Espuña.
