More than fifteen vehicles voluntarily offered by farmers in Totana, including tractors, trailers and other transported machinery, last night disinfected the usual areas most attended by people to reinforce the road cleaning tasks that the road cleaning contractor against the coronavirus has been carrying out.
The vehicles were selflessly contributed by the Irrigation Community and COAG-IR;
and the works were coordinated by the municipal Public Health technicians and provided support by the Local Police and Civil Protection.
The works were carried out in the neighborhoods and urbanizations of the urban area of ​​Totana and El Paretón;
and the vehicles were concentrated on the Camino de la Estación to begin the distribution of urban areas from the Totana Sur Health Center, in the La Bascula urbanization.
Treatment with 4% sodium hypochlorite was carried out in numerous classes in the locality and El Paretón.
The disinfectant product was donated last week by the Totana Hunting Society, supplied by Distribuciones El Basto.
In addition, the storage containers that allow its distribution on the streets and the protection material have been provided by Agrotaw, Agrícola Prime, Salvador Gómez and Framusa.
The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and the councilor for Agriculture, Pedro José Sánchez, to coordinate these actions that, possibly, will be repeated from next week.
These are carried out at night, guaranteeing the absolute confinement of the population and even the closing of authorized shops for the sale of essential goods.
In this case, a document was prepared to coordinate the street cleaning works by the teams of volunteer cleaning and disinfection, coordinated by the municipal technicians, to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
Basically, places near supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, health centers, the "La Purísima" nursing home and places of concentration, circulation or assistance for workers were disinfected.
