The Municipal Water Service of the Totana City Council recalls that the supply and supply are fully insured with the same guarantees as up to now, so that both the quality and safety of drinking water are guaranteed at all times.
The current processes of treatment and distribution, as well as the quality controls carried out by the technicians of the Department of Public Health of the City Council, guarantee the safety of the water supplied, not being affected by the current situation.
Furthermore, since the crisis began, a series of preventive measures have been implemented to protect the safety of all its personnel.
Likewise, in the face of the pandemic caused by the advance of the coronavirus, measures were taken to prevent and protect health and to maintain public services, such as the suspension of drinking water sources on public roads, with the aim of avoiding areas of contact, thus following the sanitary recommendations.
In another order of affairs, the City of Totana joins the campaign launched by the Commonwealth of the Canals of Taibilla to raise awareness about the importance of water and how we should all take care of its use.
This initiative is promoted, especially, in the face of a predictable increase in tap water consumption as more time is spent in homes due to the coronavirus crisis.
The idea is to highlight the importance of water when dealing with the coronavirus;
for example, how it helps us maintain maximum hygiene in our hands and body, in cleaning the home or streets and cities.
With the motto 'Take care of what protects you', the aim is to involve the population in the responsible use of water as a scarce and precious asset, which the Commonwealth of the Canals of Taibilla brings from, in some cases, hundreds of kilometers, makes it drinkable or desalt it, in other cases, so that it can reach our taps.
