The Bicycle Day will be celebrated on Sunday, March 15, with departure at the Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez" (11:00 hours) and arrival at the fairgrounds, an activity that is organized by the Department of Sports and Terra Sport Ciclyng .
The Councilor for Sports, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, accompanied by the head of Terra Sport Ciclyng, Antonio Rodríguez, and the municipal coach, Cati Munuera, have presented this sporting event of a non-competitive family nature.
Registrations can be made the same day from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., so that only participants with a trophy option have to register in the modalities of the youngest participant, the most veteran participant, the largest group and the most original participant .
The test has the collaboration of the Local Police, Civil Protection, Sports Volunteers, the Department of Services and Infrastructure and Tourism, as well as the sponsorship of Terra Sport Shop.
As a novelty, this year the tour ends at the Totana fairgrounds, where a gymkana will be held for children born between 2014 and 2002.
Only children who have previously enrolled in schools can participate in it, so that the Physical Education teachers will be responsible for distributing and collecting the registration forms that must be signed by the father or mother.
The registration period to participate in the gymkana ends next Friday, March 6;
and the organization will not accept any participant who has not previously registered.
Participants will depart from the "Manolo Ibáñez" Sports Pavilion and will tour the streets Santomera, San Antonio, Juan XXIII, Juan de la Cierva Square, Father Ángel Novelle, Alberto Gray, Rambla de La Santa Avenue, Encomienda, General Aznar, Constitution Square , Puente, San Antonio, Juan XXIII, José Antonio Requena, Piqueras, Virgen de Covadonga, Alcón Molina, Alfonso Sánchez and arrival at the fairgrounds.
The gymkana will take place from 11:45 hours approximately, and at 12:30 hours the trophy delivery, and the traditional raffles of bicycles and cycling helmets will be held.
In addition, it is noted that the use of a mandatory helmet is important and the use of a vest or linen is also recommended, and children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Likewise, it was informed that in the San Francisco street (corner cafeteria Lola´s) a regrouping will take place, so that at this point those children who take small bicycles and with wheels will have to leave the march and go to the fairgrounds.
