The Department of Works and Services, through the Parks and Gardens area, has planted some 40 new mulberry trees these days to replace another dry or rotten woodland due to the effects of the last storms, most of them maples, in the urbanization "El Parral" .
In the same way, the alcorques where the new trees have been planted, all of them located in the streets Santomera, Abarán, Calasparra and Águilas (block of the Consum supermarket) have been conditioned.
The substitution works of dry or decrepit woodland with new trees or species, ensuring the roots of the plantations carried out through the supply of water and fertilizer, have the objective of keeping the census of the municipal woodland in the best possible condition in conditions with the environment urban.
