The Permanent Headquarters of the University of Murcia (UMU) in Totana held last night, in the "Mateo García" Municipal Library, the conference-colloquium by Professor José Manuel López Nicolás, with great public success since numerous congregated attendees to this pedagogical event.
With this activity, the University Extension Headquarters of the University of Murcia in Totana resumed its activity in the year 2020.
López Nicolás is the author of several books, the most recent “A scientist in the supermarket.
A trip through the science of small things â€, whose title also gave name to this pedagogical activity and which could be acquired by the attendees at the end of the act.
In his last book, the author deals with the presence of science in everyday life, such as the physics present in a memorable tennis match or the chemistry that is hidden behind the labels of a supermarket.
José Manuel López Nicolás is Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Murcia, recently he has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Transfer and Scientific Culture of this university.
