The Department of Environment recalls that, in general, the practice of agricultural burning is prohibited and will only be authorized, exceptionally and motivated by a real and proven phytosanitary risk (pests), by the administrative unit competent in matters of Plant Health of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
Such authorization may be requested by the interested party at the following address: https://n9.cl/en5d
In the event of such an exception, that is, in a phytosanitary risk situation, the interested party must also notify the General Directorate of Natural Environment (CECOFOR) of the intention to carry out the burning, if authorized, if it is planned to be carried out at a distance less than 400 meters of forest area.
This communication will preferably be made via email to the email address: quemas.agricolas@carm.es and alternatively by telephone at 968 17 75 00, every day of the week and from 16 to 20 hours.
In the event of not being in such an exception, that is, there is no phytosanitary risk, the holder of the same must ensure its treatment by prioritizing the operations destined for reuse, such as crushing, composting, authorized managers, etc.
