María José Romero was elected, again, new pediatric mayor of Mortí for this term by obtaining 39 votes against the 14 obtained by the other candidate, Juan José Graña, whose election day was held on the afternoon of last Friday in the restaurant "Venta La Rata".
With this, the procedure to elect the different pediatric mayors of the Totana councils begins.
During the day were the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, and municipal techniques that ensured the correct fulfillment of the process.
The elected pediatric mayor has already held this position for some time in the last legislature.
The people who wanted to vote had to present their ID or residence card, and in the case of the owners of second residence homes, the proof that they were in possession of the same (IBI receipt).
El Paretón-Cantareros Neighborhood Board Election, February 8
On the other hand, the voting day for the election of the Local Board of Neighbors of El Paretón-Cantareros will take place on Saturday, February 8, at the "Juana Serrano" Social Center, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
They may exercise their right to vote those neighbors and registered adults or residents in the area;
and those persons who, fulfilling the requirements, could not exercise their right to vote may delegate their vote to another person.
For this purpose, they must deliver express authorization signed by the person concerned and their ID;
and no more than one vote may be delegated to the same person.
In this way, the candidate who obtains the highest number of votes will hold the position of pediatric mayor, and the rest will be vocal in order according to the number of votes obtained.
In the event that the elected person resigns his or her position, the next one will be appointed with more votes obtained and so on.
For the voting procedure, forms will be prepared in which the names will appear reflected in alphabetical order of each of the candidates for the Local Board of Neighbors of Paretón;
and each citizen may mark one, two, or three of the boxes corresponding to the chosen candidates.
Thus, each citizen will enter in a printed envelope with the candidates chosen for the Local Neighbors Board (maximum of three), so that envelopes containing printed forms in which more than three candidates are marked will be declared invalid / invalid / not computable.
