The Department of Culture, through the "Mateo García" Municipal Library and the one involved, has convened the VI "Morerica Galán" Literary Contest aimed at primary school students and ESO in the story and poetry modalities, respectively.
The theme of this year's contest is "Climate change, what do I do to stop it?", And with it we want to highlight the importance of caring for and loving our surroundings, as part of the planet to continue enjoying its beauty and of everything it brings us.
The contest rules include the call in the modalities of:
- Story for 4th, 5th and 6th of Primary Education 1st and 2nd of the ESO (three pages maximum at one side).
- Poetry for 4th, 5th and 6th of Primary Education 1st and 2nd of the ESO, with an extension of ten verses (lines) at least and thirty at most.
All works must be written in pen or computer (double space Time New Roman font, size 12);
and these must be presented before Friday, March 27, 2020 at the "Mateo García" Municipal Library, located in the "La Cárcel" Sociocultural Center.
The jury will consist of the Councilor for Culture, Verónica Carricondo, Morerica Galán, María José Valenzuela and the library staff;
and this will assess the absence of spelling mistakes, the correct punctuation, creativity, aesthetics, presentation (images and drawings will not be valued) and originality of the texts.
The contest rules foresee three prizes for Primary Education and three other prizes for Secondary, in each category;
and the prizes will be school supplies bonuses, which will be delivered during an act on April 30.
In addition, the works will be presented without putting the name of the author;
and within the envelope containing the work, another smaller sealed envelope will be included with the contestant's data (name and surname, age, telephone number, course and educational center from which he participates).
