The Municipal Commission for Children and Youth of the City of Totana was held last Monday night, for the first time in this legislature, and during the same period, the need to create meeting and reflection spaces in the youth population.

This was chaired by the mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and the Councilor for Children and Youth, Immaculate Blázquez, and the technicians of these municipal departments met.

In addition, all the aforementioned entities, including the political groups, attended, with the exception of two associations. During the meeting a presentation was made of all its components and the projects that were being carried out from each entity were presented in order to exchange experiences, establish lines of coordination and analyze meeting and reflection points where young people can debate, exchange ideas and provide proposals.

Once again, the convenience of setting up a place for young people as a local reference center was claimed;

and explained the steps that are being carried out to launch the initiative and the status of the transfer file of the Casa del Guarda, owned by the Commonwealth of the Taibilla Canals, in La Calzona, as an infrastructural resource for young people .

Finally, the situation that exists in the municipality regarding drug use and gambling disorders was discussed;

and the possibility of promoting prevention campaigns and making a manifesto against betting houses was revealed.
