The Municipal Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez" hosted last Saturday the Local Phase of School Sports Table Tennis, organized by the Department of Sports, and which was always supported by the Mesa Totana Tennis Club.
In addition, a total of 15 teams from the different schools of the locality participated, belonging to the benjamín, juvenile and children's categories.
In the Benjamin category, La Milagrosa College won first place, while Reina Sofia and Tierno Galván schools occupied second and third places respectively.
On the other hand, in the juvenile category, the first place was obtained by the Santiago School, with the La Cruz School second and the Reina Sofía School third.
As for the male children's category, La Milagrosa School was the champion and IES Juan de la Cierva was the runner-up.
The competition concluded with the delivery of trophies and medals to the top three classified in each category, by the Councilor for Sports, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez Hernández;
the president of the Table Tennis Club, Domingo Méndez Garre, and the vice president of the aforementioned club, Vicente Carreño.
Finally, the champion team of each category will also have the possibility to participate in the Regional South Zone Table Tennis School Sports Day, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, which will take place on February 1 , in the CAR Los Narejos (Los Alcázares).
