The students of the different educational centers of Totana have recently held the last session of the third children's plenary “Totana, towards a more sustainable city”, corresponding to the 2018/2019 academic year, and in which proposals have been made aimed at achieving a Cleanest and healthiest city.
The participating schoolchildren, together with the adult members of the municipal government, have participated in the last session before the announcement of the new plenary session for this school year.
In the plenary, which has taken place in the session hall, the children's mayor, Domingo Espinosa Molino, and the councilors of the San Jos, Reina Sofa, Lus Prez Rueda, Comarcal-Deitania and Santiago schools have been present.
Together with them, the mayor of Totana, Juan Jos Cnovas, and the rest of the members of the municipal government of Totana, all of them from the Municipal Group Ganar Totana-Izquierda Unida.
Students have reviewed the proposals made throughout the school year aimed at improving facilities for leisure and free time activities, sports and areas to travel by bicycle through the town center.
Among the proposals is reiterated the need to build bike lanes that facilitate the movement and reduce pollution levels, awareness campaigns to make proper and correct use of water and expand green areas and proper distribution of containers and bins.
In addition, it advocates promoting public awareness campaigns on the use of renewable energy, starting with all public buildings;
the use of public transport and spaces for the ride of pets and pets, making good use and collection of excrement.
Children's corporations also propose the arrangement and improvement of the needs of some educational centers and municipal sports facilities, as well as encouraging the repopulation of mountains, using native vegetation and the reuse of wastewater.
