The City of Totana and Eurofirms Fundació Privada have signed a collaboration agreement whose objective is the insertion into the labor market of people with disabilities in this municipality, guaranteeing accessibility to the workplace and contributing to their development within society.
The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, accompanied by the Councilor for Economic Development, Inmaculada Blázquez, have signed this agreement with the representative of this entity, Adrián Murcia, with which it is intended to enable access and socio-labor insertion of these people.
The councilor of the branch recalled that the Consistory totanero, which has among its powers of training and employment, wants with this agreement to encourage the employment of all types of people and in particular of people with disabilities and at risk of exclusion.
He pointed out that, for this purpose, from the Local Development Agency of the City Council, two employment exchanges have been developed and maintained: one for young people under 30, who are incorporated into the Youth Guarantee Program and another for the rest of people demanding employment and training.
These employment exchanges include people with disabilities, who would be subject to the signed collaboration agreement, and for whom it is essential to carry out specific actions for their employment.
Specifically, the purposes of this foundation are, among others, to accompany people with different abilities in the search for employment, and to support companies, entities and institutions acting as a labor intermediary with the objective of covering their job offers with suitable candidates.
In addition, it advocates to promote and spread the culture of equality and corporate social responsibility in society through workshops, workshops, guides and manuals;
as well as giving support to entities and organizations in activities or actions that improve the quality of life and the socio-labor integration of the collective.
The agreement establishes the collaboration between Eurofirms Fundació Privada and the City Council of Totana in the framework of actions focused on three areas, such as the labor insertion of people with disabilities, guaranteeing accessibility to the job to contribute to their development in society.
The agreement includes carrying out awareness raising and participation in events that promote corporate social responsibility;
and the promotion of training actions to improve the employability of people with disabilities, and conducting a free Labor Orientation Workshop aimed at users of the City of Totana, with subsequent registration on the website of the Eurofirms Foundation.
The Eurofirms Foundation undertakes to inform the City of Totana of the description of the professional profiles corresponding to the vacant jobs and the hiring conditions for people with a disability certificate, as well as to inform about the result of the selection process.
In response to receiving offers, the City of Totana, through its Local Development Agency, will send to the Eurofirms Foundation the curricula vitae of the candidates pointing to the offer that best fit the requested profile.
Both parties undertake to maintain a direct channel of communication and mutual information, which favors the inclusion and monitoring of the users participating in those selection processes or other actions that both entities agree, always with the objective of the socio-labor insertion of the People with disabilities.
