The Municipal Equality Council met last October 30, for the first time in this legislature, during which the new Councilor for Equality, Javier Baños Tudela, the first man to assume this management area;
as well as the new components of the Council.
In this new stage, this body is committed to youth and gender equality in its new career, with new associations.
Between the entities and the Department of Equality that make up this Council, work is already being done on the programming of the activities that will be carried out in the 25N commemoration against gender violence in the municipality of Totana.
According to sources of the Department of Equality, this assembly has wanted to give impetus above all to Education, counting on it with secondary schools.
For this, students will be given more visibility on the issues of Gender Equality and Violence, so that in the second quarter specific workshops will be taught for the Awareness and Prevention of this social scourge that currently does not diminish.
In addition, this year the Violet Point will be placed at the Santa Eulalia management parties with professionals and volunteers trained for it by installing a fixed display next to the Day Fair.
