The members of the new Board of Directors of the Municipal Center for the Elderly of Totana, located in the Plaza Balsa Vieja, took possession today of their positions of responsibility in an act that was held in the City Hall session hall, in the presence of numerous authorities of the municipal corporation.
The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and the Councilor for the Elderly, Javier Baños, presided over the act in which he took office as new president Pedro Tudela Rosa after he was mostly elected last October 11 after the electoral process held.
The new president is accompanied on this journey during the next four years by members Tomás Martínez Rubio, Ginés Cánovas Cánovas, Antonio Nortes Crespo and José Antonio Teruel;
who also took possession of their responsibilities in said governing body.
A total of five candidates attended the electoral process: the people who presented candidacy were Fernando del Vals Sánchez, Tomás Navarro Martínez, José Navarro Tudela, María Dolores Tudela López and Pedro Tudela Rosa.
A total of 268 members participated in the elections, obtaining the following results: Fernando del Vals Sánchez (16), Tomás Navarro Martínez (46), José Navarro Tudela (14), María Dolores Tudela López (5) and Pedro Tudela Rosa (186).
Since the election day, the new president-elect had one week to appoint four members to form the new Board of Directors, which must be ratified by the City Council and take possession.
Also present at the event were the members of the outgoing management team.
The next assembly of the Municipal Center for the Elderly will be held on November 8.
