The Local Government Board has recently approved the collaboration agreement with the Friends of Music Association of El Paretón for the year 2019, which includes a subsidy amounting to 6,000 euros destined to cover part of the maintenance and promotion expenses of this cultural entity of the municipality.
The agreement will be signed soon by the mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and the president of the Association Friends of Music of El Paretón, Fernando Molina Navarro, in order to make effective this collaboration consigned in the municipal budget of the current year.
The Department of Culture considers as a priority objective to boost and facilitate the implementation of activities and initiatives aimed at achieving the participation of cultural associations in the development of community life.
Similarly, it is advocated to contribute to the promotion and consolidation of associationism through timely economic collaboration, which ensures a better functioning and greater stability of cultural associations.
In this sense, and taking into account the educational and cultural work in the field of music that the Friends of Music Association of El Paretón has been performing in the municipality for years, the Department proposes the need to collaborate economically with said association, within the municipal budgetary possibilities.
In return for the indicated collaboration, the Association undertakes to collaborate in the year 2019 in the Patron Saint Festivities of El Paretón (July and August) and in the Passion Marches Concerts, and in the Concert in honor of Santa Cecilia.
For its part, the Consistory totanero undertakes to assign the use of the classrooms of the School of Music of El Paretón-Cantareros for the development of the activities of this entity, assuming the expenses of electricity, water and cleaning of the premises.
In addition, to install the mobile stage in the Multipurpose Room for the organization of local activities and maintenance of local repairs.
