The situation will be destabilizing in the Region of Murcia throughout the afternoon today and it will end the day raining, especially in the south and east of the Region, from weak to moderate, but in coastal areas it could be locally strong.
The situation will be more unstable tomorrow Tuesday until the early afternoon.
Already from dawn, the rain will generalize throughout the Region of Murcia, moving from south to north, being at times persistent, generally of weak to moderate intensity, but locally the rains can be strong in points south and east of the region.
Locally there could be a storm.
By not blowing the east wind, the rains will not be very intense, but during the hours in which the wind is calm or in a variable direction, good amounts can accumulate.
From midday or early in the afternoon, the wind will turn to the west component and rainfall will stop, although some scattered showers may remain.
Therefore, AEMET has activated the yellow warning throughout the Region of Murcia, except in the Northwest.
20 mm / h can be recorded in the Guadalentín Valley, Lorca and Águilas, Altiplano, Vega del Segura and Campo de Cartagena and Mazarrón, most likely in the Campo de Cartagena and areas near the province of Alicante.
In addition, due to the persistence of rains, 60 mm / 12 h can be collected in Vega del Segura and Campo de Cartagena and Mazarrón.
It seems likely that the greatest accumulations of rain occur in the east of the Region (locally more than 40 or 50 mm) and less in the extreme west / northwest (10-15 mm).
This situation will be accompanied by a drop in temperatures, leaving a pretty cool day tomorrow.
On Wednesday, especially in the afternoon, the turn of the storm may send us a cloud mass that will cause some weak rains, in this case more likely inside.
In general, a very beneficial rain episode is expected in Murcia for our mountains and fields.
Locally there could be some problem at points prone to the formation of water rafts.
Caution on these points.
