From the Platform of the Youth of Totana they propose to create a meeting and reference space for youth in the José Munuera y Abadía Reading Center;
through which volunteering and associationism are supported, the involvement of Totanera youth in the political, cultural, economic and social life of the municipality is encouraged, and services are provided to youth.
“This is a project that aims to respond to a large part of the problems, which during the last months have brought us dozens of young totaneros, within the framework of a campaign carried out by social networks and that served, among other things, to know the situation of the youth of the municipality â€, said the president of the youth entity, Juan Francisco Torres.
The proposal, which has already been sent to the different political groups of the municipality, includes that this space is managed by the youth entities of the municipality and the City Council.
In this way, it is intended to turn young people into the true protagonists, as well as, it will mean a significant reduction in the cost of the project for the Consistory.
Torres insisted on the need for a space for youth that revitalizes the city and solves the problem of the study rooms;
the absence of spaces to meet and work in groups;
and, above all, the shortage of responsible leisure alternatives with the environment and healthy â€.
Similarly, the president of the youth platform also said that he hopes that “the different political parties will echo a proposal that is already being carried out, successfully, in other cities of the Region of Murcia and that reserves youth the leading role â€.
