The Local Government Board has agreed to renew the transfer by the City Council of the Municipal Center for Citizen Participation, located on Menorca Street, 23 under the Collective for Social Promotion "El Candil" for the management and revitalization of this public infrastructure
This center is a single-storey infrastructure, with a useful area of ​​364.36 square meters, consisting of eight offices, two multipurpose rooms, reception, waiting room, four toilets and archive-warehouse.
Mayor Juan José Cánovas and the president of "El Candil", Ginesa Rubio, will sign this collaboration agreement in the coming weeks in order to carry out non-profit activities and programs aimed at different social groups in the field of training, information , employment and work and family reconciliation, volunteering and social intervention.
In this context, the Municipal Center for Citizen Participation will host programs and actions in the field of training and employment;
programs and actions for work and family reconciliation, school support and educational free time;
socio-educational intervention with families (personal and family development), etc.
The City Council has been collaborating for years with the Totana social fabric in the transfer of municipal social infrastructures for the development of activities that have an impact on the improvement of the quality of life of the neighbors and on the revitalization and improvement of the neighborhoods and districts of Totana
In this regard, it has been collaborating with the Collective for Social Promotion "El Candil" for years in the activities it promotes through technical, economic and infrastructural support complementary to those provided by the Administration.
"El Candil" has been working since its establishment in developing actions that contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of citizens through the revitalization of spaces for participation, training, meeting and neighborhood activity.
