The City Council of Totana will celebrate, again, next Saturday, October 12, at 12:45 pm, the institutional act of homage to the Flag of Spain coinciding with the Day of the National Holiday of Spain and the onomastics of the Virgin of the Pilar, patron of the Civil Guard, in the Plaza de la Constitución of this town, in front of the temple of Santa Eulalia.
In this way, a plenary agreement approved in the first ordinary session of this legislature is complied with, in order to provide this act with an institutional character and give it continuity over time.
At 11:30 a.m. the traditional Eucharist of the Civil Guard will take place in the Convent of the Three Birds of Mary in which the agents of the Benemérita pay homage to the members of the Corps who died in an act of service;
So the institutional act will be held at the end of the Mass.
Once the Eucharist is finished, from 12:45 hours, the civil and military authorities belonging to EVA 13 and agents of the Civil Guard will move to the Plaza de la Constitución, for the celebration of the solemn act.
There, the Musical Association of Totana and the Santiago Choral will perform the national and Civil Guard anthems;
and the flag will be raised in an act that will honor the national insignia and the State Security Forces and Corps.
In addition, this year the act incorporates some novelty that will encourage its solemnity.
