The Local Government Board has approved the collaboration agreement with the Association of Musical Association of Totana for the year 2019 for an amount of 11,000 euros in order to financially support the expenses of this entity, which includes the annual operation of the Music Band and the School of Music during the months of October to December.
This amount will be used to cover the annual management expenses of the Training and Headband Bands, as well as the hiring of a Musical Language teacher during this quarter and of an administrative assistant from September to December.
The City Council also undertakes to assume the cleaning and expenses of electricity and water of the premises that it usually uses in the Socio-Cultural Center "La Cárcel", on a regular basis.
The City Council yields the full use of the premises on the first floor, where the Music School is located (rehearsal room, Musical Language classroom, Piano Classroom, Office, Guitar Classroom, toilets and changing rooms);
and Music Initiation Classroom, shared with the Santiago Choir.
In addition, the Training Classrooms of the second plant in non-exclusive use are transferred, and must not coincide in day and time with any training activity previously authorized by the Consistory totanero.
In return, the Musical Group will carry out the educational work at the School of Music, where classes of musical initiation, preparatory, musical language, guitar, saxophone, clarinet, transverse flute, oboe, tuba and euphonium, trombone, piano, are taught. violin, trumpet and percussion.
The Musical Group is responsible for the management of receipts for the classes taught and to hire teachers, assuming at all times all the responsibility that entails.
Among other actions, the agreement includes the Passion Marches Concert during Holy Week (April);
Procession of Corpus (June);
Concert Band Music festivities La Santa, reception authorities in El Rulo and transfer to the hermitage of San Roque, transfer from San Roque to the parish of Santiago, Procession of Santa Eulalia and Pasacalles Floral Offering (December).
This agreement is materialized since the Department of Culture considers as a priority objective to boost and facilitate the implementation of activities and initiatives aimed at achieving the participation of cultural associations in the development of community life.
In the near future, Mayor Juan José Cánovas and Blasa Montes, representing the Musical Association of Totana, will sign this institutional collaboration agreement.
