The City of Totana maintains a large portfolio of municipal resources against gender violence to provide cross-sectional and individualized assistance to the victims of the municipality, basically, through the Center for Attention to Women Victims of Gender Violence (CAVI).
This offers a comprehensive, personalized and free service for the time necessary to get out of the situation of abuse;
and individual and group treatment of battered female victims, providing necessary support to enhance their social and psychological skills;
and successfully face lived experiences.
The CAVI is made up of a professional team formed by a psychologist, social worker and legal advisor;
and it could be accessed by calling the single appointment telephone number 901 101 332 or 968-418 177;
also personally in the center located in the Municipal Center of Social Services of Totana.
The technicians provide immediate and free legal assistance, accompaniment and support in the process of integral recovery, specialized attention to sons and daughters, emergency and temporary accommodation, programs to promote socio-labor insertion, housing support and financial aid.
In addition, it helps in the orientation of specific rights to reconcile the situation of violence with labor requirements and the possibility of obtaining a residence and work authorization in the case of foreign women.
Other existing resources in the municipality are 1-1-2 (urgent telephone assistance device), 016 (telephone service for information and advice to victims), Security Forces and Bodies (Local Police 968 418181 and Civil Guard 968-420053) , Court of First Instance and Instruction number 3 (968 423 386), Health Centers (968 421 111 and 968 111 968), Red Cross (968 425 003) and Social Services (968 418 177).
