The Department of Social Welfare reports that, according to data published by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia in the middle of this year, a total of 769 people from Totana are beneficiaries of the benefits derived from the Law of Promotion of Personal Autonomy and Attention to Persons in Dependency Situation.
Of this total, 249 people are considered in a situation of great dependence (grade III), 313 are in a situation of severe dependence (grade II) and 207 have been assessed with one with a grade I (moderate dependence).
Regarding the benefits and services demanded, a total of 868 given that there are services compatible with benefits, the Economic Benefit for Care in the Family Environment is the most requested, constituting 47.7% of the total, followed by the Telecare Service with 15.8% of requests.
In lower percentages is the service of Prevention of Dependency and Promotion of Personal Autonomy with 10.1%, that of Day Centers with 9.9% and the Home Help and Residential Accommodation Service that suppose something more of 7% demand each.
The remaining 1.2% of resources applied are economic benefits linked to different services.
Likewise, the Department of Social Welfare informs that the implementation of group information sessions on general aspects of the Law of Promotion of Personal Autonomy and Assistance to Persons in Dependency Situation is being managed from the Social Services Center. The aim of expediting appointments in this area.
