The City of Totana and the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS) of the Autonomous Community will sign the collaboration agreement for the maintenance of the programs that are developed in the Early Childhood Development Center of this town.
The amount of the subsidy regulated in said agreement amounts to 126,214.80 euros by the Ministry, while the Consistory totanero undertakes to finance the amount of 28,604.80 euros for the year 2019.
The main objective of the Early Care programs is that children who have developmental disorders or are at risk of suffering from them receive everything that, from the preventive and assistance aspect, can enhance their capacity for development and well-being, enabling their integration into the family and social environment, as well as their personal autonomy.
The Totana Early Care Center is located in the Tirol Camillero neighborhood care complex, next to the day centers for people with disabilities;
and it is aimed at people under six years of age with temporary or permanent therapeutic needs caused by limitations or alterations in their development or at risk of suffering from it.
The City Council has been providing various prevention, detection and evaluation programs for several years, as well as therapeutic intervention programs, advice to families and professionals from other environmental services.
This attention is organized through the aforementioned center, whose operating expenses are co-financed by virtue of a nominative subsidy between both entities.
It carries out prevention, detection and diagnosis programs;
of therapeutic intervention such as sensory, motor and cognitive stimulation;
motor, speech therapy and functional auditory;
socio-emotional and family, among others.
