The Department of Culture promotes the cultural revitalization of Totana thanks to the invaluable collaboration of groups and associations in this area in the municipality, with an ambitious program of activities that takes place throughout the year.
The “Totana Cultural†program, which coordinates this municipal department, has had a wide range of organized activities during the months of February through July, from a large majority of them from different associations in the municipality.
The associations have been carrying out an important work in the cultural field with the collaboration of the Department in a very close way by providing resources at different levels, such as economic, infrastructure and equipment, technical support, in the dissemination and social promotion of activities, among others.
During the months of February to July these are the activities carried out in the municipality, within the framework of music , which have had the collaboration of the Department of Culture:
LUJURIA Y TOPO concerts organized by the Culture Rock Association, March 30 and May 25 respectively.
Two concerts "A ROCK A BANDA" of the Musical Association of Totana that have been a journey of musical history in six decades.
March 15 and July 27.
Several concerts throughout the month of March to commemorate International Women's Day.
These activities have been carried out in collaboration with the Department of Equality: CASCARUJA TRÃO, TALLER DE CANTE, WOMEN WITH ROOT, LAS MAMARRACHAS AND ALBA OLMEDO CÃA.
FOLKLORE AND TRADITIONS PARTY organized by the Peña Folklórico La Mantellina of the Association Choirs and Dances City of Totana, June 14 and 15.
In this activity there has been a special involvement and promotion by the Department of Culture, given the cultural relevance of the event in terms of preserving the folklore and traditions of our municipality.
VI MINI SANTIAGO FESTIVAL by the SonImagina Association, on July 5.
IV VELADA OF HABANERAS AND POPULAR SONGS.
With the participation of the groups: Amigos de la Habanera, Cuerdas y Voces de Totana, San Buenaventura Choir, Santa Cecilia Choir and Santiago Choir.

XXIX MUSIC BAND FESTIVAL organized by the Musical Association of Totana with the participation of the Bands of Mula and Fuente Álamo, on July 20.
Culture has also collaborated in musical performances for the benefit of NGOs, such as:
MUSICAL CERTAMEN of the Brotherhood of Jesus Flagellate and Descent from the Cross, for the benefit of the AECC on March 16.
SOLIDARITY PARADE AND MUSICAL ACTIONS for the benefit of AFACMUR, on June 7.
MUSICAL FESTIVAL YEARS 80 AND 90, organized by the San Buenaventura Choir, for the benefit of the investigation against Cancer, on July 6.
In the field of literature these activities have been carried out during this period:
Publication of the Book of Poems “CALLES DE TOTANA, VERSO A VERSO†by María José Valenzuela in the month of March.
Music and Poetry "ENTRE DOS TIERRAS", with African music and poetry recital by Inma Pelegrín and Katy Parra, on April 27.
Presentation of the book “THE HISTORY OF TOTANA HAS A WOMEN'S NAME†by Juan Ruiz García, on May 16.
Presentation of the book “EL ESTADO BABAJI†by Vicente Tiburcio and Víctor Truviano, on May 17.
During the month of February there have been two activities related to Vintage Markets :
Visit to the MEDIEVAL MARKET OF ORIHUELA, on February 3.
Organized by the El Cañico Cultural Association.
MODERNIST MARKET in Totana, from February 8 to 10.
And to commemorate the International Museum Day , from Culture, in collaboration with the Pandora Caja Association, Cartagena was visited, an activity that has been carried out for a few years, to participate in The Night of the Museums on May 18.
And in the context of the talks-colloquium highlight the one that took place around the theme Carmen Conde and the Popular University of Cartagena, organized by the Cultural and Workers Center, by Francisco J. Franco, on March 7.
