On Wednesday, July 31, the VIII Race of the Race circuit was held for Murcia and III popular race of El Esparragal, with a distance of 5,170 meters, in which our colleague Edu Lucas participated.
Edu finished the 15th general and 5 category and despite coming out in the final part of the race he managed to beat his personal mark in 5 km, with a time of 17 minutes and 39 seconds, or what is the same, every km to 3: 25 minutes.
Race "Fiestas de el Campillo", Lorca (04/08)
On Sunday, August 4, a new edition of his popular career was held in the Lorquina district of "El Campillo".
Test organized jointly by the neighborhood association and the Municipal Institute of Games and Sports of Lorca (IMJUDE).
Totanero athletes Edu Lucas and Miguel Ángel del Vals (Michi) moved there.
Edu Lucas arrived in the top 10 athletes, finishing the 5,400 meters in a time of 20 minutes and 50 seconds, occupying the 9th place in the general and 3rd in the men's Veteran A category.
A few seconds later Michi crossed the finish line with a great time of 21 minutes and 41 seconds, entering position 18 of the general and 6th in the men's Veteran B category.
XXXV Ascent to Veleta Peak, Granada .
On Sunday, August 4, the one considered the toughest test in the world was held, the Climb to the Veleta Peak, in which two modalities are established, the 50 km absolute test and the 10 km sprint climb, both ending at 3,390 altitude meters
In this test participated the athletes of the CAT Juan Francisco García, who played the 50 km ending in 06 hours, 37 minutes and 57 seconds and 2nd in the 50km DIS Male category, Bartolo Sánchez "Memé" participated in the 10 km and finished with a great time of 1 hour and 5 minutes, being 5th in the M35 category.
