During the last two weeks of last July, our IES math partner Juan de la Cierva and Codorníu de Totana, Professor Pedro Javier Teruel Medina has been conducting a Training Course in Edinburgh (United Kingdom) to perfect their level of English and to be able to apply it in their teaching practice as a member of the multilingual program and thereby reinforce the communication skills of our students in general, all within the framework of the Erasmus + Project “Tell me in another way†that the center has been developing since July 2018 until June 2020.
During these two weeks, our classmate Pedro Javier has received CLIL methodology classes, which has an impact on reinforcing the four language skills from non-linguistic subjects, as well as reinforcing vocabulary and culture in English for use in the classroom.
In addition, he has made several guided tours of the area, along with other classmates from different nationalities.
The course schedule has been intense, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. every day, from Monday to Friday, and throughout the course it has been able to establish relationships with teachers from other educational centers in Europe with which it is going to try to maintain continued contact over time
Back in Totana, we will soon develop a new Training Seminar throughout this course so that what our partner has learned can be shared with the other teachers in the center and they can all benefit from the successful experiences that tell us
The activity is part of the actions that will be carried out during these two courses on the occasion of the Erasmus + project "Tell me in another way", among which are talks for parents, educational innovation days, seminar for teachers, concerts and exhibitions, as well as the development of new teaching materials and the review of the educational processes that the center develops.
