The Local Government Board has asked the Directorate General of Public Health and Addictions of the Ministry of Health a subsidy amounting to 8,500 euros to develop the educational programs "Argos" and "Altacan", aimed at the prevention of drug addiction in the field school.
This project is intended for students of 1st ESO in the first case;
and of 2º of the ESO in the second;
as well as the coordination of outings of students of 1 and 2 of ESO, the drug prevention workshop in 6th grade of Primary Education, 3rd and 4th of Secondary and Basic FP.
In addition, these programs are also intended, in family and community settings, for training actions for parents through the online course "Prevent from small" and the awareness and information project to ensure regulatory compliance on the prevention of drug use.
The totanero Consistory has been developing during 2019 various actions framed in the Municipal Plan of Drug Addiction, and has been counting since 2015 with the professional figure of a technician in prevention in this matter, whose content is the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of actions in this matter.
