The schedule of the municipal eco-park in the summer months, until September 15, is from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., from Tuesday to Friday;
and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., according to the Department of the Environment.
In winter, it is the same schedule but the afternoons are from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
The City Council of Totana recommends to residents and users in general to make proper use and proper functioning of this infrastructure as a center for selective collection of urban or municipal waste and assimilated for the receipt and temporary storage thereof, for subsequent delivery Authorized manager and its use or final disposal.
As objectives that derive from the start-up of the Totana municipal eco-park, the priority is to promote selective collection, with the ultimate goal of greater protection of the environment, through better waste management.
In addition, it advocates enabling the separate management of urban solid waste or urban assimilable, so that the user has a valid alternative for the management of bulky waste (debris, furniture, appliances), or problems (batteries, fluorescent, etc).
From the totanero Consistory it is wanted to contribute, with its suitable management, to the disappearance of the uncontrolled dumps, and to allow the correct management of the collected materials, giving priority to its valuation by authorized managers.
In the same way, citizens are encouraged to develop an educative and formative task, making users aware of the importance of using the means of valorization and correct management of waste.
Finally, we work from the City Council to provide quality care to the public, based on proper service, providing the population of Totana with the disposal of waste that, due to its volume and characteristics, is difficult and annoying to eliminate.
