The national mountain event celebrated the third appointment scheduled in the 2019 calendar in the town of Guia de Isora, where a total of 75 participating teams came together to dispute the 5.2 kilometers of the Canarian route.
Among the teams that took part in the test the Automobile Club Totana was represented by José Antonio Sánchez who participated with a Citroen Saxo VTS and David Cánovas who was at the controls of a Citroën AX GT.
Both pilots with their respective vehicles rented for the occasion, played a great role and above all enjoyed the great atmosphere and the Canarian fans who did not want to miss the main protagonists of the Spanish mountain.
Highlight the good results obtained by José Antonio Sánchez, who was crowned as second place in the E1 FIA group only surpassed by the Andorran Gerard de la Casa (Subaru Impreza WRC) and David Cánovas who won the 16th place in the same group.
The absolute winner of the climb was the current runner-up of the specialty, the Asturian driver Javi Villa at the controls of the BRC B53.
The Rise to the Santa will be the penultimate scoring round of the Spanish Mountain Championship, competing for the next 27, 28 and 29 September.
