Agents of the Local Police of Totana located on the access road to the Mirador del Corazón de Jesus a dog, of German breed, which lacked visible identification so it was transferred to police agencies for identification and care, being located later its owner, to whom the animal was delivered.
The events took place after eleven o'clock on the night of January 7, during the provision of the special surveillance service in the area of ​​La Santa that was held for the pilgrimage of Santa Eulalia.
When the agents patrolled the access road to the Heart of Jesus, they located a German shepherd dog that, because of its appearance, seemed elderly and did not present any kind of visible identification, so he was transferred to police stations so that, through reading the microchip, they could locate their owner, as well as provide the necessary care because he showed signs of dehydration.
When obtaining a negative result because it lacked microchip, the agents themselves, through the collaboration of local media and animal protection, disseminated the event in order to locate the owner.
Only two hours later, and thanks once again to the citizen collaboration, the legitimate owners were alerted of the recovery of their dog by the Local Police, so they immediately went to police stations to pick up the animal after certify in a reliable way the belonging of the same.
