At this time a very active front is entering the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula.
When it reaches the southeast on Sunday afternoon, it will form a small storm southeast of the Region of Murcia.
The appearance of this storm will increase the flow of east wind in the region in the late hours of Sunday and early Monday, moments in which the rains, sometimes accompanied by storms, may be locally strong, especially in the west, center and south.
The yellow warning for rain that can discharge 15mm / h in the entire Region of Murcia is already activated, except in the Altiplano, between 12:00 and 24:00 on Sunday.
The storm will deepen and moving north along the early hours of Monday, then located between Alicante and the Balearic Islands.
With this movement, the east wind will cease from south to north in the Region, and with it the precipitations, which will be more intense in the north and east of the Region.
After a temporary improvement during the morning, the movement of the front to the south in the afternoon of Monday will make the rain return, but less intense and especially in the east of the Region, ending this important episode on Monday night .
In Guadalentín Valley it is expected that the most intense rains will be recorded in the last hours of Sunday and perhaps in the very first hours of Monday.
It is expected that between Sunday and Monday they can register between 10 and 30mm in a large part of the Region of Murcia.
The intensity and distribution of rainfall will depend a lot on the exact position of the storm.
If it does not rise as much as it is now planned, the rains could be more persistent and intense.
Although heavy rains are not expected, we must be alert in case small variations cause it to rain strongly and persistently for several hours, which would lead to the appearance of problems.
We ask the population to keep informed before the update of the notices for Sunday and Monday, and to adopt simple precautionary measures such as not parking in the watercourses of the ravines or crossing them if they carry water.
