The Local Government Board has recently approved the creation of new specialized units in the Association of Volunteers of Civil Protection of Totana in order to be included in municipal insurance and within the statutes that govern this organization.
Thus, following the reports of the municipal technician of Civil Protection and the proposal of the Councilor for Emergencies, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, specialized units are constituted Sanitaria (volunteer ambulance service), Apiculture (collection of swarms), Dron (action in emergency search and rescue), Canina (action in emergency search and rescue), Psychological (action in emergencies of different levels) and Meteorological (information on meteorological phenomena and possible risks).
In addition, it has been agreed to update eight casualties and nine volunteers of Civil Protection in Totana based on compliance with the minimum number of hours of service established.
From the Department of Citizen Security and Emergencies we want to thank the work and commitment given to outgoing volunteers for various reasons and welcome the entrants, wishing the best of luck in their volunteer action.
Eight casualties have been approved and a green light has been given to the incorporation of nine discharges.
At present, the Civil Protection Volunteer Group has more than twenty volunteers.
Finally, the Local Government Board has approved the justification for operating expenses of the Civil Protection Association for the months of July, August and September.
