The Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries has renewed the supply pipe to the deposit of La Ñorica, located in the municipality of Totana , from the intake of the Mancomunidad de los Canales del Taibilla, because the daily demand of drinking water was higher than the flow rate allowed by the pipe section.
The general director of Water, Sebastián Delgado, visited the works today, which have had a budget of 36,957 euros, as reported by regional government sources in a statement.
After detecting anomalies in the hydraulic performance of said supply pipe, it was found that its internal diameter had been reduced considerably, due to the incrustations of lime adhering, which had reduced the section of pipe by 50 percent, added the same sources .
This motivated the installation of a new pipeline of 185 meters in length and 250 mm in diameter, from the intake of the Mancomunidad de Canales de Taibilla, in order to increase the hydraulic capacity of driving, apostillan.
