The Department of Sports and the Athletics Club of Totana have presented the athletics race "XVIII Big Pond-Grand Prize Panzamelba", to be held on Saturday September 22.
The Councilor for Sports, Isabel María Molino, and representatives of the Athletics Club of Totana, have recently realized the technical characteristics of this traditional athletic event held every year at this time.
The test has two modalities: for walkers with the V Walk and the traditional athletic test for runners, both with a route of 8.4 kilometers and an affordable circuit for all audiences.
The organization has foreseen a refreshment approximately half way and another at the finish line;
and more than 70 trophies will be distributed in the different categories and modalities, as well as the bag of the runner and the hiker.
In addition, live performances will be held by the "Chari Ruiz" Dance Academy.
The representatives of the Athletics Club of Totana, who thanked all collaborators and sponsors for their involvement, encouraged to check the next Saturdays before the race to make the tour before the test to know and invited the neighbors to participate in this healthy environment.
The forecast of participants is a limit of 300 people that establishes the regional park of Sierra Espuña, although the test is not held within it but that surrounds it;
and it is expected to exceed 200 athletes and walkers.
The mayor encouraged athletic enthusiasts to participate in both the competitive test and the Walking March, which is non-competitive but is increasingly accepted;
while encouraging the club to continue working in this line.
