The Department of Works and Infrastructure reports that last Wednesday, August 29, the street Juan XXIII was opened to traffic and the use of pedestrians after the important works undertaken throughout this summer in this commercial way.
The actions began on July 16 and have been developed until the end of last August, allowing the conditioning of sidewalks that aimed to improve accessibility and boost this commercial space of the urban area, according to its owner, Víctor Balsas.
The works have been undertaken by the company "Constu-Archena, SL" in the section of this commercial road between José Antonio Requena and Juan de la Cierva streets of this town, amounting to 26,287.25 euros.
This action was part of the subsidies of the General Directorate of Commerce, Consumption and Administrative Simplification to the municipalities, within the plan to finance actions and investments for the reactivation of the open commercial centers for the adaptation of municipal infrastructures to the exercise of retail for improvement of its competitiveness, Balsas recalled.
