A total of 3,552 students of Early Childhood and Primary Education today began the school year 2018/2019 normally in the eleven schools of the municipality of Totana, as reported by sources of the Department of Education of the City.
Of these, 1,166 students were enrolled in Early Childhood Education and 2,386 did in the Primary Education courses, although this figure can be modified substantially in the coming days until the Totana schools do not close the final schooling of students for the present course.
The Councilor for Education, Eulalia Moreno, will make a detailed assessment of the beginning of the school year 2018/2019 in the municipality in the coming days, once she has all the definitive and updated schooling data;
as well as the information about this new teaching period in the centers of Infant and Primary Education of the municipality.
In Totana the teachings of Infantile and Primary Education are taught in the schools "Santa Eulalia", "Santiago", "Comarcal-Deitania", "Luis Pérez Rueda", "Tierno Galván", "San José", "La Cruz", "Reina Sofía", "La Milagrosa", "Guadalentín" in El Paretón and Lebor.
On the other hand, in the centers of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) and Baccalaureate the official start of the course will be on September 14, while Vocational Training will start on September 21.
This course each municipality has returned to make their school calendar adapting their school days to the local peculiarities and the families themselves, so that Murcia municipalities have had the possibility of setting the calendar in the different non-university education, vacation periods and non-school days
