The Local Government Board has approved a few weeks ago the joint proposal of the councilors of Education and Human Resources to request the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports a grant that allows the realization of actions for the prevention, monitoring and control of absenteeism school and the reduction of school dropout during the next school year 2018/2019.

These actions will take place from September 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019;

and it is requested given that the City Council has the intention and need to continue with the work that has been developed from the Service of Prevention and Control of School Absenteeism, collaborating with other administrations for the implementation of actions aimed at preventing and alleviating absenteeism of students enrolled in Primary Education and ESO, as well as the preventive nature of Early Childhood Education.

For it, the Concejalía has elaborated and approved a project to maintain the line of the City council as far as the work of prevention and control of the scholastic absenteeism, reason why the request of said subsidy to the cover of the regional announcement promoted by the Counseling would come to hiring technical personnel specialized in social intervention in this matter.
