Classroom Students Totana Occupational recently conducted a tour of the Field Argárica of "La Bastida" in order to know the culture of Argar Western Europe's largest, located in the town of Totana.
This activity, which was of great interest to both students and faculty, is part of the program of complementary activities from the Municipal Service Truancy, launched by the Department of Education.
Occupational Classroom is a compensatory education program that develops in the municipality in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment and is funded by the European Social Fund in order to prevent absenteeism and early dropout from school .
During the tour by archaeologists working in the Oilfield, kids in the class were informed about how they were distributed in the town houses, located next to the Rambla de Lebor, customs and lifestyle of its inhabitants.
Also check what type of materials used for the development of homes, ceramic vessels they used, how the burials took place and where, weapons and utensils, the preparation of food, among many others aspects that show the occupation of the Bastida over nearly seven centuries.
On the other hand, young people could experience firsthand the great archaeological work being carried out by professionals working in the Oilfield with the goal of making this interpretation center and museum monograph based on a world reference in the research study Argaric culture, thus helping to enhance the rich cultural offerings of Totana and the whole of the Region of Murcia.
