The Councillor for Education, Trini Cayuela, the representative of the Association of Parents of "La Milagrosa", Julian Larroyo and the president of the group "A-Countersong", Antonio Rojas, presented the charity concert to be held this Saturday 5 June at 21:00 pm in the Cinema Velasco and whose benefits will go to the construction of classrooms in Burfina Faso to help the children in an area of Africa where education is very low.
This initiative is part of the solidarity campaign, being carried through Parents Associations of Colleges of Totana, along with those of Alhama de Murcia, Puerto Lumbreras and Aledo, to build in Bobo-Dioulasso, in Burkina Faso, West Africa, three classrooms in a school in the area.
Tickets, which will be sold at the price of 6 euros, can be purchased the day of the concert at the box office or through the AMPAS and members of the band.
The mayor has expressed its full support to this initiative, undertaken by the entire school community with enthusiasm and high hopes, through the solidarity which encourages children of Totana and conducive to African children who had no chance access to schooling, to do with the construction of these classrooms, thanking also the invaluable contribution of this band.
The idea of this initiative, as the mayor recalled, came from a solidarity trip they made last year a group of people from various municipalities in which they could see first hand the conditions in which children receive their education; school deteriorated, overcrowded classes, and high price to attend class.
Therefore, pledged to carry out this charity campaign to get the 32,000 euros that they needed to build the classrooms.
Finally, they encouraged all citizens to participate and contribute to this charitable cause.
