This weekend in Caravaca, Theatre Company of IES Prado Mayor of Totana was one of the protagonists of the second school theater shows promoted by the Obra Social La Caixa, sharing the stage with nine other secondary schools of Murcia, Madrid and Bilbao.

Our IES Prado Mayor looked staged an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play entitled Project Hamlet directed and adapted by Professor Belén López Marín, Department of the Spanish Language and Literature, in which 12 students from the grades 2, 3 and 4 ESO and Bachillerato Second, and equally supported by both Mayor Prado teachers as members of the Theatre Company.

The journey of this project began with the sending of the Hamlet project proposal to the organizers of the Caixa Scene.

It was selected from among many other regional proposals and, thereafter, with a original idea and a very limited time, Professor Belén López made the adaptation of all the work for 20 minutes, and also promoted, in some more than a month, casting between students, in almost daily trials, for weeks, "the design of props, costumes, special effects and music composition.

The consequence of this extraordinary work showed off in Caravaca, for the work shone in its final form in a regal, with a mastery of the tables for the students that although it was the first time for them, they did much enthusiasm and dedication.

For both the director of the play, Belén López, and for teachers accompanying the students' performance was very strong, poised and decisive and excellent student behavior.

In this sample, which was also a splendid living activity, students Prado Mayor, together with teachers, instructors and specialists from the scene, shared theatrical experiences, training workshops, recreational activities and, of course, the delight with each Caravaca parts carried by the various centers.

The result of this work has not only generated Caravaca participation expectations for a third sample, but also the motivation to keep doing theater in the Prado Mayor, as distinct, and more delivered if possible, to approach literature and theatrical culture.

Finally, note that students will debut in June Project Hamlet, having this time as an audience to their peers, teachers and family, all in the context of a theater festival that will crown the end of year activities at the IES Prado Mayor.
