The workshop on "Social skills and assertiveness", organized by the Department of Women's Rights and Equal Opportunity Department in partnership with Citizenship and the Federation of Women of the Region of Murcia, led to immigrant women in order to facilitate and provide a space for conversation and reflection has begun with the participation of 20 women.
Through this workshop, set in the actions contemplated in the area of employment and training of the Second Plan for Equal Opportunities between women and men of Totana, aims to enhance self-esteem of women to live fully and be able to develop and disseminate the values of tolerance, equality, respect in our town.
These workshops are taught by staff of the Federation of Women of the Region of Murcia, thanks to a grant from the Institute for Women in the Region of Murcia, a domain aim to teach social skills to women to maintain social interaction appropriate in different contexts in which they are.
The objective of this workshop is to empower women, help people to act according to their most important interests, to defend himself without anxiety inappropriate express honest feelings comfortably, or to exercise personal rights without denying the rights of others.
The issues to work will be body language, physical distance and the features that accompany speech, to ask for things, etc.
The beneficial effects of modifying these points is that people may maintain satisfactory social relationships.
The next workshop on "Job Search" will begin on Thursday June 10 with hours from 10:30 to 12:00.
