Councilman Development Cooperation, Juan Carrion, recently held a meeting with regional representatives of the UNESCO Regional Centre, coordinators and architect, who visited the town Totana to evaluate the activities funded by the Municipality for the project "Building Comprehensive Cooperative Education Center Region of Murcia, in the Paraguayan Chaco, Department of Boqueron.
In this project, the City of Totana has financed the construction of an educational module named "City of Totana.
With the development of the project, which has just ended, has contributed to the plans to strengthen basic education through school construction in poor areas with poor physical infrastructure limits the development of human resources.
The project has considered the construction of an educational complex consisting of seven modules with cistern and rain fall in the indigenous community of soothsayers in the Paraguayan Chaco region, and as a direct project beneficiaries are 150 families, and as indirect beneficiaries, as the last census, 9,750 people are between 0 and 14.
During the working meeting of representatives of the UNESCO Centre, coordinators in Paraguay and the architect of the building have exposed lines and procedure for implementing the project and the importance and positive impact of actions in the Paraguayan population and the characteristics of the next project launch and aspects of outreach activities that are intended to develop schools in the Region of Murcia.
