A storyteller, organized by the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities, about the children of the preschools the principle of equality between men and women.
This activity is framed in the area of culture, leisure and sports of the II Plan for Equal Opportunities between women and men of Totana whose main objective is to break down social stereotypes and foster a culture based on the principle of equality, through representation of stories in infant schools.
The program is being conducted in three local schools, Thursdays and Fridays from the hand of a person in charge of explaining the smaller the importance of equality between men and women.
The actor began his representation dressed as a pirate and plays a character, participate in the tasks traditionally undertaken by girls, cleaning, ironing, washing and making food.
With this activity, we try to show them that children can also assume that role, with the aim of contributing to an equal distribution of housework and the involvement therein of the various members of the family.
During the activity the children have enjoyed the story "The grandfather with an old concept," I won the Short Story Competition for Equality, Totana 2009.
The mayor of the municipal area, Josefa María Sánchez Méndez, explained that this is a coeducational activity to promote the equality of gender in the pediatric population, being a recreational activity, fun and entertaining through which it offers a vision equal, responsible, tolerant, compassionate and fair to children.
